Why Your Drain Keeps Clogging (and What Actually Fixes It)

If the same drain blocks every few months, the clog is a symptom. Here is how we find the cause instead of clearing it again.

A drain that clogs once is an accident. A drain that clogs on a schedule has something wrong with it, and clearing it again will only reset the timer.

Grease is a coating, not a plug

Kitchen waste cools and hardens along the pipe wall, narrowing the line gradually. Cabling bores a hole through the middle; the coating is still there. Hydro jetting scours the wall back to full diameter, which is why it lasts far longer on kitchen lines.

Defects catch debris

An offset joint, a bellied section holding water, or root intrusion all give solids something to snag on. No amount of cleaning changes that — the pipe needs repair. A camera inspection settles it in minutes, and you see the footage.

Venting problems look like clogs

Gurgling drains and slow flow with no visible blockage often point to a blocked or improperly configured vent. The fix is at the vent, not in the drain.

Skip the chemical cleaners

They rarely clear a real blockage, they damage older pipe, and they make the line hazardous for whoever opens it next. Mechanical clearing is safer and more effective.
